SSC MTS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the SSC MTS 2023 Exam, candidates must meet three major criteria. It is important to be aware of the minimum required Eligibility Criteria in terms of nationality, educational qualification, and age limit before filling out the SSC MTS Exam applications. SSC MTS Citizenship

A candidate is required to be

  2. Subject of Nepal
  3. Subject of Bhutan
  4. Tibetan Refugee
  5. Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

SSC MTS Age Limit

The age limits for the posts, as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments, are as follows:

i) For candidates applying under this category, the minimum age requirement is 18 years, and the maximum age allowed is 25 years. Candidates must have been born between 02-01-1999 and 01-01-2006.

ii) For candidates falling within the age range of 18-27 years, they must have been born between 02-01-1997 and 01-01-2006.

In addition to the aforementioned age requirements, candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation as per the Government Rules.

Havaldar Age Limit

To be eligible to apply for the position of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN under the Department of Revenue, candidates must meet the following age criteria:

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • Candidates must not exceed 27 years of age.
  • Candidates must have been born between 02-01-1996 and 01-01-2006.

SSC MTS 2023 Salary

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is organizing a competitive examination to recruit Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) with Grade Pay Rs 1800. After the implementation of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), the revised pay scale for this position is at Level-1 in the Pay Matrix. The MTS role falls under the General Central Service Group ‘C’, and it is a Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post available in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India across different States/Union Territories.

As per the 7th pay commission, the monthly in-hand salary for SSC MTS ranges from 18,000/ to 22,000/ depending on the job post and the city of allocation. The salary is determined within the pay band of (Rs.5200 – 20200).

SSC MTS 2023 Selection Process
