EMRS Exam Pattern for PGT:

The EMRS Exam for the Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) position follows the online format and consists of multiple-choice questions. The exam is divided into five sections: Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Knowledge of ICT, Teaching Aptitude, and Domain Knowledge.

Total Number of Questions: The exam includes a total of 130 questions.

Total Marks: The maximum marks for the PGT exam are also 130.

Duration: The duration of the exam is 3 hours, with no time limit for each part of the test individually.

Section-wise Breakdown:

  • Part 1: General Awareness – 10 questions (10 marks)
  • Part 2: Reasoning Ability – 20 questions (20 marks)
  • Part 3: Knowledge of ICT – 10 questions (10 marks)
  • Part 4: Teaching Aptitude – 10 questions (10 marks)
  • Part 5: Domain Knowledge –
  • This section includes subject-specific syllabus, experiential activity-based pedagogy, case study-based questions, and NEP-2020-related topics. This part consists of 70+5+5 questions, totaling 80 marks.

Additionally, there is a Language Competency Test (General English and General Hindi) in Part 6, which is qualifying in nature and carries 20 marks. To pass this section, candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in each language. If the qualifying marks are not attained in Part 6, Parts 1 to 5 will not be evaluated.
